I nearly put my foot through the telly on Sunday, when Andrew Marr asked Labour's Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell to consider boycotting the Russian state broadcaster RT. My anger wasn't directed at Marr. Marr is after all, a system server, who has never asked a serious question of authority in the history of his worthless career. He gets paid a fortune to not properly challenge his guests, while appearing to do so. I don't blame him though I do despise his kind. No, I wanted to do unspeakable things to his guest, the vacuous and utterly impotent John McDonnell, who in answer to Marr's question said "I think that's right now and that's what I'll be doing........what we're seeing from Russia Today at times goes beyond objective journalism." McDonnell then confirmed that the Labour Party would be having discussions about boycotting RT

Oh dear. McDonnell was speaking on BBC's flagship Sunday news show. Yes that's right the BBC, who were humiliated only last month by the Institute of Economic Affairs, whose excellent and thoroughly scientific research, revealed that Auntie's post-referendum coverage has been and continues to be shamelessly biased. Since the result of the June 2016 referendum, the BBC has effectively acted as the propaganda wing of those who refuse to accept the result. Over the last eighteen months, when the BBC's top rated news shows have discussed Brexit, two thirds of the invited guests have been remainers. By the way don't forget that the BBC's Media Action initiative and it's Research & Development wing have received grants totalling millions of pounds from Brussels!

So I say fair enough John McDonnell, if you are genuinely appalled at what you believe to be bias and propaganda at RT headquarters and you're not just another virtue signalling Muppet, by all means boycott them, but be consistent mate and the next time a BBC producer calls you, tell him/her that you can't participate on the basis that you do not condone biased EU controlled propaganda dressed up as news. Of course McDonnell won't do that. He'll go along with the fascists in his party like Chris Bryant, Yvette Cooper, Caroline Flint, Chris Leslie and others who are urging broadcasting regulator OFCOM to withdraw RT's broadcasting licence. This is genuine dyed in the wool fascism, when you have politicians demanding the banning of a media outlet. Shame on the lot of them. Ofcom stated today;

“We have today written to ANO TV Novosti, holder of RT’s UK broadcast licences, which is financed from the budget of the Russian Federation. This letter explained that, should the UK investigating authorities determine that there was an unlawful use of force by the Russian state against the UK, we would consider this relevant to our ongoing duty to be satisfied that RT is fit and proper.”

As for me? I like RT. Of course it is never going to breathe a word of criticism of Vladimir Putin's government nor employ anyone who would, but they don't hide it and to their credit, they've regularly entertained guests who have criticised him. RT covers issues and stories that you do not hear on BBC, SKY or channel 4, stories about the homeless, the humiliating effects of austerity and how benefit cuts hurt the disabled and the worst off in the country. The channel features academics from universities all over the world who challenge establishment thinking on many issues. These academics would never get a look in on the other stations.

There is no democracy, just naked fascism. The establishment wants rid of RT, because right now it is the only place where you can hear Russian politicians defending the country against the spurious and baseless allegations made against it every minute of every day. We can't have that right? The cabal wants escalation in Syria, escalation in Iran and North Korea. First they've got to eliminate dissenting voices. If OFCOM does indeed take RT off the air here in the UK, it'll be a disaster.
